Every year the streets of this microdistrict are decorated in order to conduct there different events: contests, workshops, sport events, concerts and many others.

The festival is organized every year from the 15th to the 21st of August. The first day of the festival is the national holiday of Spain and is called Koimesis Day. The best time to visit the festival is the evening, when it is getting dark. The streets are illuminated from 20:30 and decorations look much more interesting when they are lit.

Feast of Gracia Quarter always presents extensive and diverse program of more than 500 events, about 300 of which are created for families and children. A lot of events are organized specially for citizens who live in this part of the city but many concerts and decorations are free for all who wish to participate. This popular festival was arranged by families and neighbors who live in Gracia Quarter and as other similar festivals in Spain and Catalonia it was originally only for inhabitants. However, uniqueness and beauty of Gracia’s street decorations soon gained popularity and now people not only from Barcelona but from all over the world come to visit it.

18 streets and squares are decorated by the locals and during the festival visitors have a chance to observe a lot of magnificent Catalan traditions, listen to concerts and visit other events which are conducted in Gracia Quarter every night. Public contest of designing new holiday poster is organized every year. The best poster is used as the logo of the festival and is printed on T-shirts.
