This is an excursion for those who like modern art and Medieval architecture. Firstly, we are going to visit theatre-museum of eccentric artist Salvador Dali in Figueres. This incomparable (both inside and outside) building designed by Dali himself will touch everyone’s feelings. The biggest collection of paintings, architectural compositions and visual installations by Salvador Dali and others is located here. The museum is made as an integral creation, some kind of pretentious offspring of the author where his original symbolism is gathered. The collection of jewellery made according to Dali’s drafts is also presented here.
The second point of our tour will be Medieval town Girona. At a glance, mediocre and undistinguished Catalan settlement conceals its rich inner world behind the wall of bright and multicolored houses along the river Onyar. Walk along the old town will acquaint you with great history of Girona which stems from Roman times. Here almost every street and every building has got its own legend. You will see ancient Roman rampart, Monastery of Saint Dominic, Jewish square, Portal de Sant Cristofol (St.Christofol Gate), Episcopal Palace, Banos Arabes (Arab baths) and many others. Huge Girona Cathedral overlooks all these buildings.
